ABOUT THE CAPTAIN
Hello, my name is David Scipione.
I was born and raised in the city of Niagara Falls. My TWO favorite things in life have always been fishing and food. Growing up, I mastered fishing at several local ponds and other waterways. I also worked very closely with my mother and father in our family owned catering business. I have now owned and operated the business since 2003 to the present day. When we moved to Lewiston, NY in 1985, my fishing interests grew and expanded to the lower Niagara river, Lake Ontario, the upper Niagara river and lake Erie.
I purchased my first boat in 1994 and have been fishing ALL of the local waters ever since. 28 years and three boats later, I finally decided to achieve my dream to become a US Coast Guard certified master captain. Now, I would love nothing more than to share my enthusiasm and expertise of the incredible fishing opportunities that our local area has to offer with you personally.
NYS FISHING LICENSE
A valid New York State fishing license is required for everyone on board that is participating in fishing. Our charters will include most of the fishing equipment you will need but there are some things you will be responsible for bringing. New York State Sportfishing License can be purchased online at: https://dec.ny.gov/regulatory/permits-licenses/sporting-and-use/sporting/fishing-license
You may also want to consider buying a Canadian fishing license in order to fish both sides of the Niagara River as well as Lake Erie and Lake Ontario.
WHAT TO WEAR
Our fishing charters are year round. Please dress appropriately for weather conditions. Bring hats and gloves for fall, winter and springtime. Fishing during our colder seasons can be extremely productive and FUN as long as proper clothing is worn. Wind proof outerwear that is waterproof, wool socks and insulated waterproof boots with toe warmers will aid in keeping your feet warm and dry. Winter hats and gloves are essential. An extra pair of gloves could prevent you from getting frost bitten. Upon request we can supply survival suits in several different sizes.
FISH CAUGHT ABOARD OUR BOAT
If you do decide to keep some of your fish we will gladly filet them for you. We recommend to bring ziploc type bags and a cooler with plenty of ice. We always enourage catch and release fishing. Please consider lowering your daily limit in order to help preserve our amazing fishery!
PHOTOS
We encourage our customers to take as many pictures and videos of their fishing adventure with us as they would like. We would love to see your pictures on social media pages like Facebook and Instagram.
FOOD AND BEVERAGES
For 1/2 day fishing trips we recommend a light snack and drinks. For full day fishing charters we suggest bringing a lunch (sandwich etc.) along with enough water to keep you hydrated.
DO NOT BRING/ALCOHOL POLICY
No drugs including Marijuana will be allowed on our charters. Alcoholic beverages are allowed in moderation at the Captains discretion. Any visibly intoxicated person aboard our vessel could result in the immediate cancellation of your charter. Your safety is #1 priority!
